Garbage Cans
Posted on Nov 15th, 2024
This is a gentle reminder that garbage cans cannot be stored outside. Section 5.4 Waste in the Declaration states “The refuse and garbage receptacles for each occupied home shall be stored in the residence or garage, except for a period of 12 hours prior and following the scheduled garbage pickup.

If you are storing them outside, please move them into your garage.

Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
WFCA Board

Message from the HOA

Hello fellow homeowners and neighbors;

     As we progress from season to season, homeowners considering home improvements, could require Board and Architectural Committee approval. The normal process for gaining these approvals starts with contacting the Board or the ACC Committee. If the home improvement is for the exterior of the home, please include your plans with your initial email, which will expedite the approval process. The Board and Committee will confirm that the design and detailing matches existing style, colors and materials. This will minimize the back and forth between the Village and Board. The Board has to sign off on your exterior plans, before you can go to the Village for approval.

Roofing requirements
Posted on Aug 21st, 2024
Hello fellow homeowners

Where has summer gone? It's the end of August already and pumpkins, falling leaves and sunsets before 7pm are on the horizon. Is it just me or did this go by way too fast?

I just wanted to get some information out to everyone as it appears many homeowners are at the brink of re-roofing their houses. There are requirements in the specifications of shingles to be used per the Declaration. The developer JBJ chose one roof color for our subdivision to allow the homes throughout the subdivision to stand out instead of the roofs, Weathered Wood.

 The following are required when choosing. 1) Any asphalt shingle brand you choose must be dimensional and a minimum of 25 years of duration. You can choose to go with a longer duration dimensional shingle. 2) The color required to be used per the Declaration is Weathered Wood. Many manufacturers offer that color. Owen's Corning doesn't offer that color choice, so the Developer has allowed Driftwood as a close substitute if you choose that brand.

If you choose Driftwood, please inform the Board that you are making that choice prior to having the roof installed as a courtesy. Brace yourself for sticker shock when you get your estimates! Wowza!

Thank you,

Steve Zik
